Why Do We Feel We Are Never Enough?

Self-doubt is poison. But we all experience it. The thoughts of "lack" bring you down and keep you there. I am not smart enough. I'm not pretty enough. I don't make enough money. I don't have what my neighbour has, and so on. All of this is true when you believe it.

Our subconscious mind is gullible and believes everything we tell it over and over. The belief gets built on the repetition of our thoughts, whether it is true or not. It is all about our perspective. So why not start building more positive thoughts, even if they are not true (yet)!

What IS enough? Where is the balance point between 'lack of' and 'enough of'?

There isn't one! There is no line in the sand. This IQ number means you are smart,  this amount of income means you are successful, and that social status means you are accepted. It just doesn’t exist. You can't wait for happiness based on a comparison to someone else.

When you understand that everyone has their own journey, their specific purpose, and their unique strengths then you will realize that there is no point comparing yourself to others. You can have everything and not be happy.  You can have nothing and BE happy. You have to CREATE your happiness first and then you will be able to achieve anything.

Using repetition to build the belief in your subconscious mind will create a “fake it ‘til you make it” pattern. The same way that you lied to yourself and repeated that you were not worthy is the same way you can tell yourself that you ARE worthy, until you believe it strongly. The difference you will find is that when you start to believe in your self and find more strengths it raises your vibration creates more momentum.

You have to love who you are today, love what you do (or change it), and have gratitude for what you have.

And it's not just hanging a sign in your house saying, "Happiness is loving what you have, not having what you love." It's fully embracing that feeling deep inside. It’s living life with this mantra. When you are happy you want to do more of what makes you happy.

That happy glow inside will turn into dreams, visions, and goals.

You can't accomplish a goal when you are wallowing in self-doubt, self-hate, and lack. You will never have that six-pack of abs if you hate yourself, ‘eat’ your emotions and tell yourself you will always be like this, there’s no point in putting in the effort. You can't get that promotion when you tell yourself that you're not smart enough, you don’t fit in, or that’s for other people, not me.  If you THINK you are “not enough”, then you become “not enough” in your subconscious mind, and the subconscious mind does not know real from perceived, it is built on repetitive programming.

YOU have to change the narrative. You can choose who you want to be. You can choose your outcomes by focusing on being happy first.

That is not an easy thing to do in a world full of negative people.

It is time to change that! And cannabis can be part of this experience. Cannabis can help to quiet your thoughts for a moment. Cannabis can help you feel mindful and at peace, enjoying the simple and beautiful things in life. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is find time to sit still, be quiet, and see what is happening in your environment.

Let's start celebrating ourselves and each other.

  • Quiet the judger’s mind and open a learner’s mind.

  • Take time to do things that feel good.

  • Schedule time in your calendar to look at the sunset.

  • Marvel at the beautiful colours and take it all in.

  • Hold that warm cup of coffee in your hands. Feel the warmth in your hands. Smell the delicious aroma. How does that make you feel? Now taste it. It is now the best Cup o' Joe you ever had.

This is the power of mindfulness. When you start enjoying these small things, everything will start to be more enjoyable.  When you apply these intentional moments to your day maybe you will start to enjoy everything you do. Or maybe you realize that it is time for a change

When you are looking for joy in something it will be revealed. Keep your eyes open for signs.

The next time someone asks, " How are you?" Smile and start with the celebrations! "I really love the smell of fresh rain."  "I had a great breakfast with my family." " I kicked ass at work today".

Give a compliment to someone.

Breathe.

You don't have to be perfect to be happy. We are all on a journey. Enjoy the sights along the way. The destination is the last stop.
